Amazon Fashion Review: Levi's Jeans

Welcome to my second installment of my new Amazon Fashion Review Series!

So as you may know by now, my go to places for jeans is between the Gap and PAIGE. I have been wearing skinny jeans exclusively for a few years now and I just love the way both of those retailers fit. I’ve never owned a pair of Levi’s jeans, but always noticed how good they make a booty look (LOL). I decided it was time to try a pair and see if they really measured up to how they are often portrayed on Instagram.

Shopping for Levi’s Jeans

I actually ordered these Levi’s high waisted jeans back in December, finding them on Amazon for just $39.99! Now, one thing to note. On Amazon, I’ve noticed specifically with the clothing, that prices can fluctuate based on popularity and size. These same jeans are now $54 in the same size and color (Make or Break), but just clicking around the different sizes and colors, even that price is changing. Levi’s jeans can range in price, with the upper echelon being right around $98 from places like Revolve (or even Levi’s), so I still consider this a good deal. But I liked the fact that they were from Amazon, which meant 2-day shipping and fairly easy (free) returns if I didn’t love them.

If I’m being honest, they sat in a pile on my floor for about 2 months. I just couldn’t decide if I wanted to keep them or not. I liked the amount of distress they had as well as the way they fit in the waist (high), hips & butt (see pic above!). However, the length was just too long on me (I’m 5’3″) so I had to roll them multiple times just in order to not cover my feet.

One day, I randomly picked them up, headed downstairs and grabbed a pair of scissors. I don’t even think I tried them on again before I just started cutting the ankles off! One quick, straight cut across the bottoms, and I threw them in the wash so the hems could fray naturally. After they went through the dry cycle and I tried them on again, I instantly loved them. It was like a completely different pair of jeans! Not only did the length fit much better, but they also seemed to fit a bit better overall, because they are truly denim (and not the stretch jegging material). I love when jeans are snug, so I’ll likely wash them after every wear so they return to that same fit!

I love these Levi’s jeans, y’all! I honestly feel like they made my butt look cute (which is just not the case IRL, lol). They arrived within the stated 2-day delivery window from Amazon, and the quality is wonderful – in Levi’s I now trust! Again, I loved 90% of the fit until I got creative and just cut the length. Now I just truly love them altogether.

Sometimes, you just have to get creative with your clothes and a few small tweaks can totally change the way you look at something! I’m always cutting jeans, so this one was kind of a no brainer 😉 I’m definitely happy with this purchase and would recommend these, even at this updated price point.
