Happy Thanksgiving Week, Friends!
As we officially kick off the holiday season this week, I’m so looking forward to all of the holiday parties, get-togethers, festive outings, and time with family & friends in the very near future. Hard to believe it is already here but I couldn’t be more excited! While this month is the merriest of them all, it undoubtedly seems to hit so hard & fast that I’m left with a holiday hangover come January 1.
On the topic of Holidays, each December I dream of throwing a giant adult holiday party where everyone is decked out in velvet, sequins, fur and more while sipping holiday drinks and listening to Bing Crosby. There are adorable festive charms on the stems of each wine glass, the smell of balsam floating through the air, and a charcuterie board that would put France to shame. And don’t get me started on the dessert table. Then reality kicks in and I realize everyone’s month of December has been claimed for months already. Maybe next June I will remember to send out save the dates for my holiday party 😉
By now you know how much I love velvet, and this tuxedo blazer is no exception. It is the perfect holiday party attire! Just putting it on makes me want to put up my Christmas tree to really start embracing the holidays. Pair with a dress & heels for a cocktail party or distressed denim & lace cami for a more casual (yet extra) look.
Bonus points: choose a velvet blazer in a rich jewel tone to really scream chic.
