If you’re anything like me, as soon as the holidays are over and January rolls around, I have one thing on my mind: booking a sunny warm vacation. And with any vacation comes the obvious: shopping for new vacation clothes 🙂 It’s time to put away all of the sweaters and leggings and trade them in for maxi dresses and sandals!

I particularly love a warm beach(y) vacation because they are so easy to pack for – throw some dresses, bikinis and sandals in the suitcase and you are ready to go.  Eric and I are definitely the relaxing type of vacationers – park us by the pool or the beach with a cocktail in hand and we are in our happy place!

One of our favorite places we have gone to repeatedly over the past few years is Scottsdale.  While it isn’t beachy, is it a beautiful resort town with desert climate that I LOVE.

My favorite type of shoes to pack for beach vacation are wedge sandals for women; they give me that added height since I’m only 5’3″ and are so comfy, plus give way more of a beach vibe than a standard heel.

Wedge Sandals for Women – Where to Shop

If there is one shoe that is an absolute essential for me in the Spring & Summer months, it is the wedge sandal.  As a girl who basically lives in heels, the wedge sandal is a great alternative to pumps that still give me the height but has more of a casual feel.

Wedges are so great for a beach vacation or for a vacation with lots of walking when you still want to have some added height. I bought these two-toned wedge sandals last summer and they are still available!  They also come in olive.

While you can practically find wedge sandals for women anywhere in the warmer months of the year, I have a go to destination for reasonably priced shoes: DSW.  DSW carries lots of brand name shoes, and at a fraction of the price.

They also have a wonderful loyalty program, in which you can save even more money.  I love their loyalty program because you can stack coupons together to really save, plus they always send a birthday coupon every year.

Not to mention, the clearance section at DSW is amazing!  Now I find that most of the time I have to visit in store to really comb through the clearance racks, but you can easily find shoes on sale by visiting their website.
